Reverse Lights

I am swapping bulbs on my '07 G Coupe and I am curious about the reverse lights. First of all, does anybody know what kind of bulb it is (I think it is a smaller wedge version of the headlight turn signal bulbs) and how do you get to it (it looks like it comes from the bottom not from inside the trunk). Does the tailight assembly have to come out?

Thanks,
B

I did this a few days ago. slight pain in the ***, but not hard. you remove the carpet and loosen 3 nuts and pull the taillight out and swap 'em. put the taillight in and screw the nuts in.

Yep, did mine the same way. Swapped them with the PIAA Xtreme whites a while back. It's a pain in the *** to do the first time. If you search I'm sure you can find the bulb number.

Have you been able to see a difference between the PIAA and other bulb manufacturer's hyper white bulbs (PIAA's are twice as much).

I haven't seen any other hyper white reverse bulbs IRL other than the PIAAs. I got mine from Amazon of all places for like $9 on sale.
