No fun for sedan!?

I'm realizing that I can't get projectors into a sedan by swapping headlight units because well, coupes don't fit in a sedan. So I'm only left with upgrading bulbs only, correct?

you can retrofit projectors on your car. ttrank has quad projectors, S2000's up top and TL's on bottom. It takes some knowledge and guts to DIY though.

Yeah I've seen some amazing work done to get projectors in our sedans but that just ain't for me. I have no time or the money to invest. I'm only interested in simple upgrades that I can do on a weekend to make my car look a little better while improving drivablity.

get some 6000k D2R bulbs, they will bring out more color in your lights and wont affect the output. Most people have Piaa. I got some off ebay from 'stillenmaxima' and like them.

Sure but they won't be cheap. I would consider selling them for $2k.

There are a couple guys on here who do the retrofit for you. IvoryGT and LittoDevil are the best. I did mine myself. First time around it was just the halos, then the S2000 projectors came later with paint, then I went back in for the TL bi-xenon projectors and the last time it was to change the lenses on the TL's and mod the shield for more color.

Yeah...I think I like just changing the bulb. Man, the bulbs are expensive. Stock is 4300k I heard? 6000k seems to be the popular one. D2r and D2s are the same?

6000k Philips or GE bulbs are very nice.

You get the most output from 4300-5000k but don't loose much with the Philips and get some nice color.

D2R are for reflector headlights and D2S are for projectors.

I understand that but how come on some sites the pics of the 2 bulbs are the same and the price is the same? Maybe only the difference is the housing or unit it's installed in?

even on this site, for a G35, if you click on the d2r bulb..it takes you to the d2s bulbs. http://www.plasmagarage.com/XENON-bulbs.html

Yeah, very close. The base is a little different and the D2R has the ceramic (anti-glare) coating on part of the bulb.
