Ok, these d2r bulbs are way expensive. Think I'll just replace my fog to the JDM yellow's for now and leave the stock d2r's and be happy for now!! I like the yellow fog look. Nice contrast to the headlights.

There are a couple guys on here who do the retrofit for you. IvoryGT and LittoDevil are the best. I did mine myself. First time around it was just the halos, then the S2000 projectors came later with paint, then I went back in for the TL bi-xenon projectors and the last time it was to change the lenses on the TL's and mod the shield for more color.
About how much do they charge I don't want to waste their time pm'ing them to ask. I have been thinking about doing them myself but in the end I might end up wasting my own money being cheap.

Can you explain the lens mod to me? I already know what the shield mods are, but I don't think I've ever heard about the lens change

A basic low beam only with a TSX will run you $800-1,000 with paint. Add ~$100-200 more for S2000.

A bi-xenon with S2000 and TL and halos like I have will be at least $2k.

The TL lens does not have the best line. The BMW ZKW lens is 100% clear which gives a much better line and a little better color. I also did the shield mod for more color.

You can get a good set of Philips 5000k bulbs on ebay for ~$50 a pair. The 6000k are way more. I would get the 3000k piaa bulbs for your high beam/fog. I had them before I did the TL projectors and they are great.

Thanks ttrank for the tip. I've never seen pics of the piaa h4 yellow fogs on here, maybe I'll search. I just know the JDM yellows look good from the pics I've seen on here. If the 5000k lights will look about the same as stock, I might as well go for 6000k.

I'm going to work with IvoryGT on getting a retro fit I just need to find a set of 05/06 Xenon headlights to send him I can't be with out any headlights while the retrofit is being done especially due to my location. TTrank what do you think of this particular auction for E55 projectors?...

E55 projectors with wiring

Those are nice, the TSX are the best bang for the buck for your uppers. As for the E55's, I would spend a little more and go with the TL's. The sedan headlights are more open than the coupe and making extra shrouds to block all the additional light from the open parts of those E55's is not going to be fun.

I read about the ZKW (3series) lens swap with TL projectors they're saying it gives the best light output but the ZKW lens is expensive.

The TL projectors with standard TL lens are still great. Yes the ZKW lens makes it even better but they are almost as much as the projectors!
