I got a question regarding this swap. If I bought 06-07 headlights and put them on an 03-05 g then does that make the headlights bi-xenon like in the 06-07 coupes? Or is that just the low beam? Sorry for the noob question.

they'll be bixenon, bixenon means the lowbeam projector serves as both the lowbeam and the highbeam, by moving the shield out of the way using a selenoid

Thanks redlude97. I always thought that bi-xenon meant low and high beams using seperate bulbs. I've been always curious as to wether there would need too be any modification to the headlight circuit to make it headlight bi-xenon, since pre '06 coupes only had HID on the low beam only, I'm assuming. I take it the solenoid is on the headlight? Anyways, thanks for clearing things up, I appreciate it

I read on the forum that the 06 headlight had recall on them... I found a pair of 06 headlights for a very good price. Is there anything I should look out for ??

The only problem with the lights is the driver side is aimed too high... but there is a simple fix for that...

so then what is the bottom reflector for?

Hi i was doing a 06' projector swap yesterday and i realized that the guy i bought the lights from converted the bottom reflector into HID. obviously he didnt gimme the ballast. so my question is, is the the whole bottom reflector just the foglight? if so, then what is the little bulb on the top left or right side of the bottom reflector. It only seems to light up when i turn my high beams on. Thank.

the little bulb is the city light, it comes on with the headlights (should be both low/high beam) as well as when the other lights are on without the headlights. The rest of the reflector is for the fog light. you're better off putting a non-hid bulb for the foglight as the hid in the reflector housing will potentially cause glare

thanx. do you know any place that i could get the oem harness for the fogs since the HID conversion is hardwired into the stock harness and the original fog bulb mount is missing.
