Help - 03 Sedan Spoiler LED removal

Has anyone removed the LED lamp assembly from the '03 G35 Sedan spoiler? Most of the LED's have burnt out on mine except 3 suggesting that only the bulbs are burnt. I asked Infiniti and they don't have a part number for the LED assembly. They want to replace the whole spoiler @ $800.00 CDN I'm gonna replace the burnt out LED's myself. Just wanted to know if anyone has done this before? My soldering skills are good so it shouldn't be too big a deal. Just trying to figure out how to take it out of the spoiler to start. Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey Richie,

The actual light assembly looks easy to take out. Just three Philips screws to remove and the light should just pop out.
Remember to disconnect the light from the spoiler.

In the manual that I have, it mentions to remove the entire "spoiler" but I don't think its really necessary to do.

Good Luck

Bill

Thanks Bill, I printed out the entire FSM when I first got my G. No enthusiasts should be without one I did notice the same thing however that there is no LED lamp removal and only the whole spoiler in the FSM. Just wanted to see if anyone had any tips before I start.

So yeah, 3 screws underneath. Then heatgun and utility knife to remove top double sided tape holding it in. After that, it just pulls straight out. Now the lens is also glued to the assembly so looks like I'm gonna have to heat gun again and pry apart. Need to replace 30 out of 32 LED's in total. Should be fun
