1 zenon not working
i took the ignightor off the back of the light and the previuos owner had left the back of the zenon light holder off so it was full of water i dryed it out and got all the lights working except the zenon .do you think its burnt out and can i swop the ignightors over to check it is deffinatly damaged.
xenon
i bought it as an import from japan and its3 yrs old so i dont think its coverd by warranty .im going to try and swop the controllers over at the weekend if it is possible so i dont go and buy one of them for nothing like i did the bulb
Why did you buy another bulb? Whenever I have a problem with HID, first I check the bulbs. Take the one thats working and put it in the side that isn't cut the power on and see if it fires up.
If not then you're looking at the ballast possibly being the issue. Either that or a fuse that could be blown.
You'll be amazed. The solution can be right there in front of your face.
Worst case scenario is when you want to seek a new ballast to relace the old one.
A great way to test a ballast is to take the pos and neg wires and clamp them to a jumpstarter while you have a bulb on there. Turn on the switch to the jump starter and as long as things are wired up properly it'll safely turn on right there.
MAKE SURE you have a bulb on otherwise you'll hear the loud sound of electricity zaps
