other 6000k brand bulbs

I was about to get the phillips 6000k ultinon d2r bulbs because i thought they would give me a white w/ a small hint of blue color to it. But ive been hearing that they actually give more of a purpleish look instead of a blue look.

Are there any other 6000k lights that will give me a white with a small hint of blue color to it or any other options?

hmmm any 6000k bulbs should give off a bluish white light. Try the mtecs 6000k D2C bulbs they work with either D2R or D2S. I just posted up some here : https://g35driver.com/forums/showthr...16#post2185516

Yes... both I and another forum member have. Unfortunately the company sent us both the wrong color temperature. The bulb itself seemed poorly constructed. The light output was bad. GE also tends to have a pink note to its bulbs.

None. All of those higher kelvin bulbs are trash, IMO - they're only good for people seeking less light, less longevity, and a worse driving experience.

OE 4100k is superior. Better putting that money towards modifications that are actual improvements. I mean, MTEC isnt even a real lighting manufacturer.. it comes from overseas by the boatload.

we have boxes filled with parts pulled from 10+ years worth of working on peoples lamps, we have seen just about every bulb or lighting-related goodie under the sun. :-)

its pretty much a known fact, that anything higher than stock color temp will result in less performance and a shorter lifespan.

not trying to say they arent pretty. but, it all depends what you think pretty is. for me, i understand that blueish color serves no benefit and instead, has more downsides than it does positive attributes. therefor, i appreciate every bulb or lighting technology for what it is. a good 4100k xenon setup looks pretty, as does a high quality HIR headlamp - i dont care if its halogen or xenon, as long as the color rendition is good and it puts out a very useable amount of light, i'm happy.

i canyon my cars so for me, i have no problem with a headlamp that looks pretty, it just has to perform. i dont believe in any product that hinders light output.

i know that a lot of people like to hate on anything above 4300k because of the loss in visibility. However, some people are perfectly fine with it, and to them, whatever they lose in visibility is worth getting a different color other than yellow. As for me, id rather sacrifice a small loss of visibility to gain a whiter/bluer color. Besides, ive been in cars with 6000k or even 8000k and i could see just fine (but then again, it wasnt foggy or raining).

Anyway, i hear that MTECS are nice. What about any other brands... prolumens, etc?
