reverse light removal on 03 sedans

Can someone tell me how to remove the reverse lights? i want to take them off to put my bat overlays on. I did one side and it didn't turn out too well... i can't tuck them under and end up having to cut the extra and using clear tape to tape the side of the trunk.

It's been a while since I removed mine & replaced them w/ the '05 lights, but it's real simple. I believe all I did was remove the lining from the trunk door by removing those plastic grommets and then you have direct access to the lights...you'll know how to remove them once you access/see the back of them.

i removed the two bolts holding it down. but once i loosened them, it was still firm in place. i didn't wanna bang too hard with my wrench to loosen it cause im afraid i might crack it.
