Or after disconnecting the light and being asked by all your friends why your third/fourth brake light is broken you can visit a local interior shop and get some supplies and be creative. This is what I did..

done...first i was doing it with the rear seats up and that just wasnt working...then i pulled the seats down ...finished it in about 30 seconds and was done...k i need suggestions...im getting my car tinted to 20% next week..so should i just take the third brake light out of the car totally (it leaves little gaps where it clips into)...or just leave it there..where it will be slightly visible through the tint

interesting... after you take out (or unplug) the third brake light, theres no warning indicator light in the dash warning the driver??? I thought this would light up since its like a rear tail light that is out... hmmmmm
