Coupe xenon headlights fitting on a sedan??

I have a hard time finding a pair of xenon sedan headlights to replace my halogen headlights. I see a lot of coupe headlight assemblies on ebay and they look the same to me but I just can't believe them to be the same. Are they the same and are they direct replacement?
I searched around for this but couldn't really find anything.
Thanks guys.

This question has been asked many times, and the answer is the only way to get HID projectors on your sedan is to retrofit projectors into the sedan headlamp. Coupe headlamps don't fit.

I've been thinking about this lately, and does anyone else think it's odd that an aftermarket company (such as TYC) doesn't make a projector headlamp for the G35 sedan!? I mean, they make projector headlamps for Civics, Accords.....why not 03-06 G35 sedans? I'm positive the market is there for the product; I'm pretty sure nearly every sedan owner would shell out $300 for a set of drop-in projector headlamps.

Most aftermarket projector headlamps are for halogen only and it specifically says not intended for Xenon use. When you try to drop a HID kit into those headlamps, the beam pattern I hear is terrible (glare etc).

Most G35's have HID's already, I would think this is the reason why companies don't bother with doing a projector headlamp. Plus you would need new D2S bulbs.

My advice is to find a reputable retrofitter and just throw a pr of projectors into your headlamps. The output will be easily 2x brighter.

For the amount of work and hassle to do the retrofit, I don't think it is worth it.

A good retrofit project can easily go over $1000 and alot of elbow grease to make things aim right

Thank you all for your quick replies.
I guess the easiest way is to drop in some xenon bulbs for H1 housings.
I don't know if it will be brighter but I sure hope it is.
How about these:

If I get the 5000K or even 4300K if I can find them, would they be fairly decent? I just hate the yellow headlight look and I want the nice clear white or slightly blue light output.

I'm trying the same swap right now and got frustrated trying to get the parts. I picked up two bran new ballasts, ignitors, HID bulbs and factory wiring for $150. Now I can't seem to find a good deal on HID headlight housings. Not sure how much the housings cost new but I bet it's ridiculous. About to scrap the idea and get Sylvania Silverstar replacements bulbs or something. Disappointing but didn't want to spend a bunch of money on this.

Well you got a good deal on everything else so far. Just wait a while and you will find some housings. Don't give up too fast, good deals pop out of nowhere all the time.

horrible idea IMO, retrofits kits into a halogen reflectors almost always result in excess glare for oncoming drivers.

thats all relative, I'll never go back to reflector based HID's or halogens again, the output is significantly better even with the poorest HID projectors

Most new and semi luxury cars have HID with projectors anyways..

I have spent countless hours on my lights and would do it again tomorrow. The output is 3X what the oem bulbs were, it has no glare on other drivers and looks awesome.

If I ever have a car without good quality (S2k, TSX, TL, E55, etc) HI projectors, I will retrofit...

Plus more people look and comment on my lights than anything else on my car. I took it to the dealer the other day and everyone asked about them, no one wanted to know about the TT, stereo, bla, bla, just the lights!
