lol. don't worry about these guys...they higly encourage the use of bulbs with a color temperature of no more than 4300K, otherwise you'll lose 25% of your output. don't worry about them, it used to annoy the hell out of me at first, but i was like whatever after a while. You'll get use to it.

6000k bulbs with projectors still shine a lot brighter than A LOT of the older cars out on the road, so you'll be ok. Everytime I drive at night, my lights are still brighter than about 60-70% of the cars i pass.

I went back and fourth for awhile about changing up my headlight bulbs and finally settled on yellow H4 fogs and new factory HID bulbs. I love the look especially after I polished up my headlight housings last night. I still need to figure out how to adjust them, but to me this combo looks killer and the light out put is great ! I may have gone with a 6K bulb if the ones I wanted weren't +$300. Too much for me for some damn bulbs.

Thats NOT the issue, its using a PNP HID kit in reflector housing designed for halogen. This will cause substantial glare for other drivers, and pretty much makes you a ***** on the road blinding all oncoming traffic.

Yea that's true. I'll give you that redlude. But you do always tell people that 6000k bulbs will lose 25% of its output and that they shouldn't get them.

So its wrong to tell people the truth and inform them of a better(correct) way of doing things?

ok.. so i was counseled by redlude on the importance of glare to in respect to oncoming drivers and I now firmly agree with redlude that anyone that is going to replace their HID bulbs have the ceramic coating for D2R applications; as well as installing an HID kit in a housing that belongs to halogens is a big no no.. and it might not be EXACTLY 25%, but it's close enough, if not sometimes more depending on the brand of the bulb since lumen output isn't the same from every 6000K bulb

redlude... have you been blinded by glare once too many times?? seems like you got an itch for people that do it..

I actually dislike 4300K bulbs myself. If I could get ahold of them for a resonable price, I would run Philips 85123 which are rated at I believe 4900K. Believe me, I love the look of 6000K, but I need as much light especially when it rains. The bigger issue is the glare produced by a PNP HID kit in a non-HID housing.
