Aiming Headlights on a non-Projector housing

Hello All-

I just got done upgrading all my bulbs and clear sidemarker over the weekend. The new bulbs are much brighter now as I think the older ones were just beginning to degrade. I've search the forums and have found out how to aim the headlights on a "projector" unit, but how do you aim the lights on a "reflector" setup? I can see that there's a hole in the headlight unit, but when I stick a long philips screwdriver in there to turn it counter-clockwise to aim it up it feels like nothing is turning or gripping. Is it possible to re-aim your "reflector" lights? I've only re-aim "projector" lights before...so I'm clueless =( I have an 05' G35 Coupe. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

They are aimed the same way as projector headlights, they just don't have distinct cutoff line that you can use for aiming, but the procedure is the same

Hi redlude97-

I've tried following the same method like that of the projector beam setup, but when I insert the philips screwdriver (also tried the new "star" pattern screwdriver) it doesn't appear to grip the tool. I then shined the flashlight into the hole to see if there were any grooves in the aiming unit, and it appears that there is not...it only looks like a hex bolt.

Like I mentioned, when I replaced all the bulbs the lights are brighter now, but the projection of the light itself does not shoot out that far so it appears like it is aimed too low.

I guess I'm stuck with it for now...but at least the lights are a bit brighter. I do miss the HIDs in my 2007 Acura TSX...those were awesome!
