Lightbulb O6' retrofit help???...

Ok fellow G owners, i have an o5' coupe and i recently upgraded to the o6'-o7' projectors... Long story short i used the the o5's bulbs [for it to fit i had to dremel an extra groove...], which are d2r's instead of d2s's like it recommends on the headlight assembly... So everything is installed fine but the cutoff is barely visible when driving on the streets and not all that bright compared to tsx tl's and the 04+ s2000 projectors. And i admit the 04' S200s projectors are one of the best ive seen so far because a friend of mines has one. I had expect mines to be exactly if not somewhat close to that of the
s2000's. But anyways it is only really visible when i drive towards a garage or like streets that are compact or filled with obstacles... Do ya get what im saying? If anyone knows if the bulbs [d2r/d2s] make the difference, please let me know? Thanks in advance for the responses...

Its not the bulbs, its the lesnes. 06+ G35 projectors use frensel lenses which greatly decrease a sharp cutoff and color similar to that of a tsx/s2000/TL, etc.

Frensel lenses have benefits that they are not as blinding to on-coming traffic. However, you loose the sharpness/color.

If you want your car to look similar to an s2000/TL, you would have to change your lenses. TSX is a common retrofit.

Go get yourself a set of clear lense (non-frensel) TSX lenses on ebay. I think they were clear lenses up until 2005. They usually run around $150 or so.

Then, you have to find someone to do the swap for you. You can try IvoryGT.
