04 Headlight Retro Fit

Sorry guys, but I can't seem to find the answer for this when I search. I have an 04 g35 Coupe and I saw some philips 06 projector lights on ebay for $160.00 or so. Would these just screw in nicely to my current 04 lights, or would there need to be some fab work or gluing?

Thanks,
Barrett

Also, if easier, where could I just get some 06 lights?

nope, they will not screw it nicely with the 03-05 headlights at all. The internals of the 03-05 lights are almost completely differently from the 06-07 headlights. Not to mention you would have to find some type of shroud to cover the projectors as well.

Best solution would be to buy a set of 06/07 coupe projector headlights. Make sure to aim them correctly as your set may be a recalled set.

Buy from a dealer such as jason@riverside and you can be guaranteed they aren't recalled headlights. You can bet on all the ones on ebay being recalled though

Dealers have some outrageous prices. I am also looking for some projectors for my 05. I wonder how nice the cutoffs look like in the 06-07 projectors??

It's outrageous because it's new. IF you buy ebay used ones then they are most likely recalled units (it's nothing really, you can aim yourself). As far as the cut off, you can't really tell because its not sharp and is really fuzzed out by the fresnal lense.

You cant really complain about $600 for a set of brand new bi-xenon projector headlamps. Sure, they don't have ballasts, but you can get those from your current lights.

Trust me, I have had a set of recalled lights and I know of tons of people with them and pretty much all the ones I have seen have pitted lenses.

Seriously, they were selling for $1200 like a year ago, $600 is very reasonable

Is it the fresnal lense that causes the fuzziness? Can the projectors be swapped out for different lenses. Like a retrofit?
If so, can a cuttoff like this be duplicated...
Oh, I'm sorry if I'm highjacking your thread. If so, just disregard my post

i bought a set of 06/07 projectors off ebay for $200 and maybe they are recalled, but they have the cutoff like the picture above.. what do the recalled lights have that differ from the newer 07s?

You can swap the lens for another lens such as the TSX. I have TSX right now but I am having issues so I am going back to stock G35 lenses.
