Clear Bra on Projector Headlamps?

I am soon getting a new set of 06 projector lights and was wondering if clear bra has any negative effect on the light output/beam pattern of headlights?
I want to protect the lenses since it seems that G35 lenses chip so easy but I don't want to do it if it will cause any issues. Thanks.

i have a clear bra on my 06 projectors, the output is not really affected, but the cutoff is slightly less sharp compared with no clear bra. it is worth it though, protects from rock chips and yellowing.

Protects it from yellowing? Isn't there a greater chance of yellowing WITH the clear bra??

^^ the clear bra (headlight film) supposedly blocks the uv rays from the sun, which is the main reason headlights get yellow. I have had my projector headlights on for about 2 years, and no sign of fogging, yellowing whatsoever.

Why would there be a greater chance of yellowing with a clear bra?

Because some clear bras are notorious for yellowing after a couple years.

well if the clear bra does ever turn yellow, you can always take it off, leaving the headlight looking new

A friend of mine had clear bra installed on his 05 lights and they looked like brand new 2 years later.

I was worried that it would effect lighting. I think I will hold off on the clear bra. I have never had issues with fogging or yellowing because I regularly take care of my lights. I just wanted protection against chips.

I have a clear bra on my headlights, and I can say that they don't have any NOTICEABLE affect on light output.

Any forum members want to come down to the dealership and see what they look like?

What clear bra do you have?

I'm about to buy a set of projectors from you guys and want the protection from chips. I have a clear bra on my 04 lights now and I'm so glad I had them put on as soon as I bought the car.

I'm not sure about the brand, but it was done professionally by the dealership. Maybe contact Jason or Tony about it... we may be able to get them covered before they're even shipped out. I'm not in the parts dept. so I can't promise anything.

on stock output the bra doesnt do anything that matters. with modded output the bra just enhances the effect caused by the front lens. It gets blurry.

Clear Mask will not yellow. Some of the kits out there today are not a good quality material. I have had them on my vehicles for a few years and they look as good as new.
