Disappointed with V-Leds.com and superbrightleds - recommend some other good bulbs

Had the 194 High Power and SMT bulbs from v-leds.com and also the 9led from superbrightleds and both have failed in short time.

I still want the hyper white look on clear corners, trunk and license plate so what are the really good reliable brands for 194 bulbs?

Thanks,
Clint

I have the 9led bulbs which failed. I have only 4 of those so no biggie.

However, I have 4 smt from vleds which I paid a lot for. Good thing - I emailed them and they responded right away saying the batch was bad and a new sets will be sent to me free once they have been manufactured

Yeah i also bought the 5SMT led bulbs from them and they didn't last long either they started blinking crazy.

Nice I may have to get in contact with them about that too.

Let me know what you find as an alternate

those places use cheap quality LED's and they're worried about quantity, not quality. they may be much cheaper but reordering and paying additional shipping multiple times will almost equal higher quality bulbs. and you might save yourself the embarassment of having one of your clearance or license plate bulbs flickering for weeks and you not knowing it (like i did). stop supporting bad quality parts sites and help put those cheap bastards out of business. buy some PIAA LED bulbs. had mine for almost 2 years now in the license plate and no problems to date.

PIAA LED's for gauge backlighting

I bought their SMT for my boost/egt/fuel press gauge if it was for corner lightstrip or anything like then yes

I've always used Piaa Extreme White bulbs in both the clear corners and the clearance strip on my G. The only problem I've found is in time, they start to loose the blue coating. I replaced my clearance bulbs after 2yrs, and the blue coating had almost completely flaked off.

I tried the super white bulbs as well, and IMO they look more pinkish to purple than white like the Extreme Whites....

Quick question for you:

- What bulbs are you using for the fogs?
- What bulbs are you using for the clear sidemarkers?

Thanks!

I have been running VLEDs for a long time and have never had a problem.

However, I know superbrightleds are notorious for burning out.
