H.I.D. Upgrade Selection

Hi guys,
I have been in the search for upgrading my factory low beam bulbs. I feel like they are just not enough for me. I have been looking into getting either 6000k or 8000k can any of you guys give me some input on this decision? Any expierience or opinions would be great. If this help I have the fog/driving lights upgraded to 3000k H.I.D. Yellow.

Do you mean upgrading aesthetically or functionally? Any temperature above the stock ~4300K is going to reduce output.

Whether it looks good or not is all subjective. BTW, I have 6000K. It's a bit less output than stock but its a crystal white, not yellow like stock.

I have reflectors stock 04 headlamps. I know it will lower output but I just dont like the color of our stock lamps.

go with 6000K you will only lose 25% light output

I plan to get 5000K Philips Japan Market bulbs. They are whiter than stock yet emit I believe 3000-3100 lumens, so almost no light loss at all.

i got 6000k and love you barely notice output loss and its definetly a lot nicer than those ugly yellow stock ones, and w/ 6000k the cops dont mess with you as much anything higher you're risky tikets well at least here in ny they give tix for lights being too bright

Anyone ever noticed the sylvania bulb replacement guide shows 06 coupe headlights as d2s for low beams and 9003 halogens for high beams......then 07 coupe headlights showing d2s for low AND high beams, meaning bi-xenons???

I thought 06 and 07 coupe headlights were the same

they are the same. dont believe people who dont do the actual research and just post specs.

all 06+ Gs are Bi-xenon using D2S bulbs. and H1 for foglights.

6000K Phillips Ultinons seems to be the most popular choice for that particular color.
