V-LEDS ftw???

So, I'm doing some minor cosmetic upgrades on my car. I just recently bought some wedge bulbs from V-Leds.com for my clearance strips and my clear sidemarkers. I ordered the Super White ones with 6 LEDs per bulb, but for some reason they appear somewhat blueish looking. I checked the packaging and it indicates that they did send me the White ones...so WTH?

Before the purchase of these LEDs, I had some Xtreme White filament bulbs in there. In my opinion those filament bulbs seem brighter than the LEDs and less blue too but a little too yellow for my taste. I want the bulbs to look as close to my HIDs which have a 4300K setup. Is there another brand/bulbs I should look for that can produce the same effect as those filament bulbs but in a LED setup? The filament bulbs burned out way too quickly

I have bought this from superbrighleds.com

I'm very satisfied with them. They are quite bright.

OK...those look much brighter than what I have from V-LEDs.com. However, they still look a little too blue compared to actual HIDs. Is that always going to be the case? Thanks for the link JOKER...I'll check them out

I have the High power white from vLEDs, which, according to another member who tried just about every type of LED out there, is the brightest LED vLEDs offers, and the brightest of the brands he tried.

They aren't quite as blue as what JOKER showed the picture of, but they do have a slight hint of blue to them.

All in all I'm very happy with my vLEDs!

BlueDevilBAMF-

The high-powered ones you mention from V-LEDs appear to be the same technology as the ones JOKER mention from superbrightleds.com. Do you have any pictures that you can post so I can make a comparison? I've tried pretty much every LED so far and so far the traditional filament seems to be the best candidate, however I want to switch to LEDs for it's long life and lower power consumption. Front and side pictures would be greatly appreciated.

JOKER-

Do you have any side profile pictures of the ones you posted? It's hard to determine how well those LEDs flood the casing. I want more of a "wide angle" effect, where as right now it seems like the light is more centralized and doesn't fill the clearance strip or side-marker casing entirely.

Thanks alot everyone!

this are top mounted leds so most of the light goes straight and not too much to the sides.

I'll take a side pic tonight to show you how they look.

They are not so blue in reality. Camera makes them more bluish.

Ive tried just about ALL LEDs from "pure white" to "soft white." none match, not even the great SMT LEDs. Goodluck! I'd say CCFL is about your only option for a WHITE.

Couple of shots from the side.

As you can see not much light gets reflected cuz the led is located on the top and not much light goes to the side.

If there would be some kind of reflector on the top of the led to direct light towards the reflective side of the side marker that would be better.

Also as I mentioned before they are not that much of a blue in reality. Much more witeish. And cuz my side markers are black/tinted it looks even more white. There are more blue tone in the clearance strip.
