Daytime Running Lights Help Needed

So I bought a car in the states and I need to install the Daytime Running Lights to comply with Canadian laws. I initially planned on just wiring a simple relay to a 12V ignition source to trigger the fog lights. I don't mind them being on at full power. Is this going to be as easy as it seems or am I going to have problems with the IPDM and BCD? I found a diagram of the exact way I want to wire it on the12volt.com. Where it says DRL is where I will connect the fog lights. Please let me know if this will work before I start throwing up error codes.

Buy a DRL module at CDN tire. The easiest way to hookup would be through the IPDM. I used the washer pump for the IGN source and you can access the Fogs/Low Beams through the IPDM too
