heyy, i just got pulled over by a cop in Irvine for having a full smoked taillight, even though he let me go, he threatened to give me a moving violation if he sees me around with the smoked taillight. I figured I might as well give it a little change and stick to the legal side since our G's capture too much attention lol. i have a couple questions

1) What's the difference between 06 taillight and the JDM taillight that ppl keep talking about? aren't they the same?

2) will the 06 taillight work on my car? ( i drive an 03 coupe)

06+ jdm tails have amber turn signals and no side markers.

yes, the 06+ (usdm & jdm) will work with your 03. however, the trunk button isn't readily setup on pre-06's.

so long as you can see the tails light up from ~1000 ft (i think), it's legal. even those gtr overlays cover the led array. it's unlikely that you will get pulled over for those, but don't be surpised if you do.

the second set of overlays doesn't cover any more light than the first set that you posted. the addition of those center circular overlays does not block any light.









food for thought: both pictures you posted are k67p67's car. the pics i posted are also his car, just more recent. imo, the paint looks MUCH cleaner.

as far as i know, no one has taken the time to make the trunk release button functional. in theory, it shouldn't be too difficult. but then again, why hasn't anyone done it already? everyone that i know just leave the button alone.

yes, it is common and it's a plug and play swap.

the trunk release button inside your car and on your keyfob will work fine, but not the one on the driver side tail.

hey Cal, if you were to translate the shade of darkness of the tints on the car you posted above (the painted tails) to Bat's overlays, would they be Bat's opaque black or 6/10?

 

they are painted black. they are not "tinted." they similar to bat's opaque black, except they match the OB paint perfectly. bat's opaque black overlays are not a glossy, almost dull compared to paint.

damn that does look kinda dull, but i wanna get overlays since i can easily take them off if i get pulled over.

however, those painted tails does look hell of a lot better than the overlays. i wonder if Bat has a glossy version of those haha

 

Can anyone help me here please. I have a 2004 Skyline 350GT. I live in Ireland but I imported it from Japan. The problem is some ******* broke my left tail light and I can't get a replacement. It needs to be JDM because they have the amber signal light instead of the red light used in the Infiniti

Can you help me please. Also I would be interested in the set that is on the car pics posted by "O RLY" above. I have the carribean blue colour skyline.

Any ideas would be amazing.

ok so the 06-07s come with the more 3d contoured tails (raised around the rings) right? i want those for my 05... where can i get them...??
