need help with door light

need help with door light

does anyone here know how to get to that damn light on the door?
the step courtesy light or whatever?..
cant seem to get that damn thing on
i want to switch the bulb to led
but cant seem to open it u
help please

yea that shiet was a PITA!!! to take off..but i took it off with a very small and thin flat head screw driver...like get the driver and just put it on the side and pull out!..some force will be neseccary...and it should come out!..its a pain to get the new bulbs in as well..haha GL

on either end of the light fixture, just pop it out (pops out straight down). use a lil force too

Mine were a PITA to do because I had just gotten my G and didn't want to break anything - didn't have enough slack on the wire to install the new bulb and was probably too cautious. The directions others have given you are all you'll need!

Be careful when pulling the old factory bulbs out. They're extremely hot to the touch!

It's the same bulb as the dome light
Get this if you want a white LED
Get this if you want a blue LED

its really not that hard just place a soft cloth on the end of the screw driver so that you don't damage the surrounding door panel. I placed the screwdriver here and it came out with no problems.

(this side towards street)

how the hell do you guys change it, even after i popped it out the wire is so short i can't even reach the bulb, do you guys lie on the floor to do this?

I pulled the cover out slowly and turned it until I could see the bulb.

Use a glove when you pull out the buld. It's freaking HOT!!

yep! the cord on it is insanely short, but if you are careful it can be done.

Please follow the advise of putting a thin cloth or better yet some electrical tape around the tip of the flat head or you will end up with a scratch/dented part of the lense as I did on my dome light in my acura RSX
