yes, but it's one of those things that every Tom, Dick, and harry will do to their car. Same with Altezza lights, little blue LED's, fart cans, etc... It's not different if everyone has one.

We already have a distinctive clearance strip, why is this needed?

in my mind mods like this is left to vehicles that are limited in the style they themselves have. An older ivic, corolla, or what have you doesn't have much 'style' to speak of, so cosmetic additives like this are attractive to them, however, the G's are already stylish enough, that you do not need to start applying lipstick and mascara. It's like a classy lady, best left as is!

They just may like the look of the lights, after all the Porsche GT2 has them as well I believe. Personally I wouldn't do it, but I can at least imagine it looking pretty good if somebody does a good job with the fab. Now that new GT-R front bumper for our cars, is a different story lol.

I think whether or not it's done tastefully..people are going to do it.

the GT-R has an option from factory to have a similar mod...

What I meant is that we already have a distinctive headlight setup which either came stock with the clearance strip or can be retrofitted into the 06 lights, so why not put the effort into modding that clearance strip that sets our car apart rather than trying to imitate other cars

Why does it always have to be about imitating? Why can't people mod their cars because they like the way something looks?

Provided that there are several people out there that will mod their cars to imitate other cars, but that is not always the case.

About one year ago you mentioned to me that you had intentions of painting your roof black. Did you wanna do it because you like the way it looks, or because some Scions and Mercedes have black roofs?

I know I painted my roof black because I like the way it looks, not because other cars come stock with black roofs. I didn't paint my roof with the intention of imitating other cars. It just so happens that I like the looks of black roofs and other cars just so happen to come stock with them.

Actually I saw this first on a Hyundai but whatever. I like it. The way Audi curves the led strip inside their headlight is cool as hell.

I agree with HERO, sometimes people just like the way certain mods look and its not to be like the other cars....

But this thread is called the "audi a6 LED strip mod", which implies imitation correct? I don't refer to a black roof as a "scion roof mod".
