2006 Headlights - weird

I got a couple of quotes from Infiniti Dealerships and they are varying completely in price. In NY - it's $545 Each headlight - but in CA at Riverside Infiniti - it's $595 for BOTH shipped. This also includes bulbs!.

My question is - am I missing something here, or are prices this different across dealerships?

BTW - if you havent already figured it out - I have an 04 coupe and im trying to do an 06 headlight conversion.

Anything would help - I just dont want to order it and I'm either missing something or I ordered the wrong thing.

Thanks

I would be carefull buying on ebay because of the recall infiniti had on them. Basically dealership were required to swap out the whole headlights and distroy the old ones. The problem with the old 06 lights where they were projecting to high and were not legal.

Other than this post - everything else that was said was useless.

lov3rboy408 - In terms of searching - I've obviously already done that with no avail. That's the reason for my post. I don't need a DIY on what is needed. Re-read my question if you need to.

I wanted to know if I was missing something in terms of the headlight price itself.

buy from riverside, they are legit new post recall headlights and only slightly more expensive that the old recalled ones on ebay. You have no idea what condition they will come in from ebay either and if they will even have good bulbs etc

I've had my '06 projectors on ever since the '06 G35s came out, before the headlight recall was even issued, and to be honest I still have no idea why they were ever recalled. I'm not blinding any oncoming traffic.

What does that mean exactly? Something about the regulatory test they failed and why they were recalled?

all dealerships have different prices on parts. I went to Empire Nissan to buy a plenum gasket and they wanted $80?!?!?!?!?!?! WTF?

I went to Tony @ RiversideInfiniti and it was $17

Thanks again Tony

Pictures of the headlight projection on a wall at a distance of 25ft is an easy way to tell if the headlights are aligned correct and have no rotational issues. I post a DIY in the body DIY section of how to check and aim your own headlights to meet DOT specs

I bought mine off a member on here before the recall and I dont see anything wrong with them. To pay $500+ for just the housings and bulbs is ridiculous to me....

Gotcha, thanks. Figured it had something to do with the projection angle.

infiniti of riverside has been hooking members up here for a long time.. they are always chepaer than any dealership... i bought the key hole cover shipped to my door from them cheaper than if i went to the local dealer and picked it up myself.
