anyone know what bulb number for the one which illuminates the ashtray? i just installed a bass **** inside of it and want to replace the white bulb with either blue or red. thasnks RX

I have my dash apart right now and am trying to replace that bulb as well. It seems to be the same as the one inside the upper golve box as well. Unfortunately it is intact to a connector and I do not want to take it out. I went to radio shack and they'd carried nothing similiar. I know that the bulb says the number 74 on it.

well the housing unscrews easily and then the bulb pulls right out. but i dont remember seeing any numbers on my bulb

You mean the bulb with the pos/neg metal wires running down it? Cus mine came unplugged, then is attached in a black socket and it won't just pull out.

yes. just twist the black piece and it should get loose.

According to the service manual the bulb is 12 volts 1.4 watts, doesn't say anymore then that though.
