HID Color Cap Question

Hey everyone,
I'm new to this forum and I recently purchased my 06 G35 Coupe back in January and I am just now starting to do the basic mods. I've de-badged it; Installed BlueBat's tali light overlays; Ordered clear corners and LED bulbs; etc., etc.

So I noticed while doing some research that the bulb of choice for those wanting a blueish tint for their HID's seems to be the Philips Ultinon 6000K. My problem is I don't really want to spend $200 on a set of bulbs unless I have to.

So I did a search but couldn't find any info on the subject but is anyone on this forum using blue HID Color Caps over their stock HID bulbs? If so, are you happy with the results? Or should I not bother and just purchase the Philips Ultinon 6000K bulbs?

^lol. well, first of all, the ultinons are not really blue. I have them and they are a crystal white color (much nicer than OEM imo). they are only blue

when you first start them up but thats it. as for those color caps... don't do it.

As far as the color caps

PHILIPS FTMFW.
3400lumens ---->2400 lumens =25+% light lost. Based on Philips own spec sheets

buying a whiter bulb for lesser output and more money is like buying a heavier exhaust and losing hp for a louder sound.

doesn't make sense to me, but do whatever you want really as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else.

so when was the last time you went off roading in your G and needed all that light.

99.9% of us live in cities with lights all over the place.

If any of you would not know about the light loss I bet none of you would even notice it.

As I said..............it AINT THAT BAD. you can barely notice it unless you go off roading in to the woods.

I had those philips in my 03-05 headlights, and eventually went back to stocks. I'm not an **** lighting dude like redlude97, and even I noticed the difference.
