Headlight Question

I'm new and I just purchase a set of the 06 headlights for my 04, but I have a few questions.

How does the hight beam work? I see the low/high is on the same bulb.

Are these bi-xenon?

Also, what are the differences between the housings, in terms of functionality.

I also see tons of people modding them, what are the most common and easiest mods?

Sorry for the newbie question.

Yes they're bi-xenon. Theres a cutoff on the high beam which blocks part of the beam so it does blind people.

yes, when you turn on your high beam, all it does is lower the shield that is blocking the light, therefore giving you high beams.

What about all of the other lights, I see that some people are talking about clearance lights, what are those?

And also functionality, some people talking about lights staying on with the 03-05 and not staying on with the 06 headlights?

Also, is it plug and pray?

Clearance strips/lights were only on the 03-05 Coupes. 06+ housings don't have them. when I upgraded to the projectors, I didn't miss the clearance strips.

On the 03-05 housings your amber (turn signals) stay on when you turn on the headlights and for the 06+ headlights, they stay off and only blink when turning.

Is what plug and play? Switching the housings from 03-05 to 06+ housings? Then yes, it is.

Thanks for all the information. I'm planning to put them in this weekend. Is there any way to know if my lights are the pre-recall or post?
