06 Bulb replacemnts!

hey everyone. so there are many bulbs on my car that i want to change but am having trouble doing so. so the parking light and and the signal lights bulbs can be changed by going through the fender walls right? i tried that, but couldn't get hold of the bulb, i didn't wnat to yank the wrong thing out. plus, my hid bulb is the stock white color, is it possible for our hid kit to handle an 8000k bulb? i want a bluish color in the lights to math the sidemarkers.

Most ppl on this forum would stay away from anything higher than 5000K.. and if you search a lil you'll see that the bulbs are all 35W.. the higher K is bluer but dimmer.. if you want 8000K someone here will tell you to go buy a set of nightvision googles and call you a "riceboy", just like your screen name

In color theory (like calibrating tv's and projectors and such) "true" white is considered to be right around 6500K. My understanding is the factory HID's are more like 5000-5500K? 8K would be way more towards blue but maybe that's what you want? Me personally I wouldn't want my lights that far towards blue.
You can google search color temp charts, plenty available online. Of course, depending on the calibration of your computer monitor you might not get a color results anything CLOSE to what it looks like on your screen.

If you drove at me with 10000k bulbs, i would bright the hell out of you. And with my setup, you would probably drive off the road. That color is NOT needed, and does NOTHING but blind other drivers.

If that color is not needed then you should change out your color bulbs and I'll keep mines.

kelvin temp ratings have nothing to do with brightness. the higher the temp is past 5k,, the dimmer the output.

true the higher the temp, the output is dimmer.more colorful but not brighter.that's why you have people saying the higher you go, the less you will see in front of you.

Yes, i am color modded. Have you ever seen the output on a color modded set of lights? The ONLY part that is blue/purple, is the VERY top of the step. NOT noticeable to other drivers. Read up some more, mine are STOCK bulbs.

To each their own, but when you drive at night, i hope you come across a pair of bulbs driving at you, like you have in your car. You will see how absolutely annoying it is, and pointless at the same time.

Its totally noticeable to other drivers, especially from far away. The point of a color mod is to get flicker and color without sacrificing output. Otherwise, you would leave it stock. Putting these 10k bulbs in OEM projectors shouldn't cause any issues as far as glare, its going to be significantly dimmer than stock so its going to glare less. The cars with major glare are the ones that combine 4-5-6 7-8-10k HID bulbs in halogen reflector housings not meant for HID. These are the ones that are a safety hazard on the street. I don't see why you would need to highbeam someone for using 10k bulbs in OEM housings, it shouldn't cause you any issues

Maybe people are using high beams all the time around here with those color lights. I feel the need, when i cant see in front of me because someone wants to put "cool" colors in. Whether they have their high beams on or not, i dont know. Maybe our cars look different with the purple color in. There is 1 raised pickup around here, and one tahoe. They both have the purple lights in, and everytime i see them coming, i prepare to be blinded. Thats why i have such a bad taste in my mouth about those color lights.

I am very familiar with color modded headlights. I am running a set of TSX projectors color modded by the same person that did your setup. And yes, I am running stock 85122+ bulbs. There is no way that the color on my lights or yours for that matter are not noticeable to people in front of us or driving in the opposite direction.

Anyways, I do understand your point, however, be aware that your lights put out alot of color as well, different color, but color never the less.
