Does anyone think $300 is too much for used 06 headlights on ebay
for a g coupe or a reasonable price?

^yeah....totally. that's why they spent millions on recalling the brand new 06 lights. because NOTHING is wrong with them. Nissan is just got too much money.

they are not brighter. I don't know why this has to come up every 2 weeks.

NOT ALL lights recalled have this problem, but as all recalls go. when enough numbers are considered bad, they are all recalled.

and the reason why it was recalled has NOTHING to do with brightness. In fact the factory g35 is dim compare to TSX or TL or number of other projectors.

It was recalled because a number of units (NOT ALL) have a problem with the cutoff in which it was crooked. and slanted rotational wise. Meaning the light is outputing light slanted pass the horizon and into the oncoming traffic's eyes. This is NOT a matter of adjusting it lower, the shield itself is the culprit. Being that you CAN NOT adjust this without opening the lights themselves. They are recalled.

Now some of you have bought recalled lights and didn't see anything wrong with them, because few of them have nothing wrong and frankly, you probably wouldn't know what to look for, but isn't that what recall is all about, keep you from harm when you didn't know you had a problem? What if you blinded some driver who's inexperienced or even intoxicated, and caused him to run right into you. What then?

btw, i know a number of people have asked the techs at their dealership and they said it's because it's too bright. They don't know left from right and glare from brightness. Frankly i dont think they know or could care any less why it was recalled. They get paid on the hour by warranty to replace it.

Ultimately, the lights have significant glare due to faulty shield. That's why it was recalled.

I have an '05, but the lighting is so much better than my 300ZX that I can't imagine wanting to replace them.
