which phillips bulbs to use for projectors

I have 06 projectors and I just bought a pair of 6k bulbs from another member.. They say D2R on the black part of the bulb... I just checked on the website and it says these are for reflector lights and D2S are for the projector.. does this mean these will not work on my 06 projectors?? ugg im so screwed.. can anyone trade me!??

You are supposed to have D2S bulbs. I believe that there is a way to modify them to work, but I'm not quite sure how.

D2s' do NOT have a ceramic coating covering a portion of the bulb like a D2R, so that the reflector does not create a glare for oncoming drivers..

Beancooker's nicoclub bulb list says the low beams are D2R? But here we are told D2S? Plus Sylvania web site for an 06 Sedan says both high and low beam are HID-D2S??? I'm so confused.

instead of looking at random websites...why didnt you just search here?

D2S for 06.

D2C looks like D2S but with additional notch to fit D2R. The point of notches is to not fit a D2S in D2R for glare. But aftermarket companies...what can you do.

there is a reason why D2S doesn't fit D2R housing...
