The point of the even, correctly aimed cutoff is not just for your benefit. Its so you don't blind other drivers on the road and make your car into a safety hazard. I guess if you are selfish like that, then go ahead and save yourself the money. I will never recommend to anyone to do anything half assed, no matter what the part.

All of our streets are lit up, thousands of cars on the roads, you can drive in the middle of the night with your lights off and the visibility isnt any different if you have them on. People get the projector headlights for looks, it drastically improves the looks on the coupe, makes the car look 4-5 years newer, so why would someone that doesn't care about their light output pay $700+ for a pair of headlights that they can buy for $250-325 on eBay. Besides, in NYC it wouldn't help to have some crooked a$$ projectors pointing towards the road, help the drivers ditch the gigantic craters we have here. So point being... you dont even get to see your cut off line in rural cities, since you're driving behind cars all day long, we dont have deer and **** to worry about like you guys do lol.

I'm not quite sure why you and some of the other members in this thread think ignorance and a lack of concern for others is something trivial or that redlude is overreacting.
I'm glad you live in NYC and it's lit up like a christmas tree, that has nothing to do with blinding people. You seriously must be joking with a retarded comment like that.
I can still shine badly aimed projectors into your eyes and blind you...just because ambient lighting is increased in your city at night doesn't mean that you are impervious to a more intense light...that's just plain stupid. If you don't believe me, shine a bright *** flashlight in your eyes, in the day even...I'm sure you won't even notice it because of "all the other light"...

Exactly, projectors aren't just for looks, their point is function AND form, not just so you and bunch of immature G owners can get your hands on them and blind everyone driving around because "it looks cooler, OMG LOL!!."
That attitude is so juvenile it makes me wonder how you are old enough to afford a car like this.

I would bet other drivers don't give a two ****s if your car 'looks' cool, but I'd bet you they are pretty annoyed when your mis-aimed lights blind them. It's probably just an annoyance to most other drivers, but perhaps one time, you cause an accident...I'm sure it's no big deal then either.

I for one agree with redlude, do it right or don't do it at all. Grow up. You share the road with everyone, just because you don't care what you're doing doesn't mean others don't. And don't jump down people's throat who happen to care about more than just themselves...

I got my recalled '06 lights from board member tecni. You may want to send him a PM and see if he has any more. Mine looked new, came with all bulbs, and when aimed properly they work great. I didn't get them for looks, though they do look much better then the originals, but they put out more light in front of the car, A big improvement IMHO. The are aimed properly, therefore they do not blind any oncoming drivers, nor do they bother drivers that I am following.

G35Driver, used to allow adds for these lights, but when the whole recall fiasco came about, all the adds were pulled, and no more are allowed to be sold here. Again, IMHO, this is a much more safe venue for a buyer than eBay.

But, as I said above, tecni had about 4 sets when I bought mine 15 months ago. Good Luck in you search, I hope you find a GOOD set as I did

Lou

See here is an example of being responsible. You can get recalled headlights and aim them properly and make sure they aren't blinding anyone. Then your car looks better, puts out more light, and no one suffers for it. Kudos to you Lou.

1sexyG, good luck in your search. If you do get recalled lights, which is fine, please just aim them properly and make sure the aren't blinding people. Otherwise Riverside is a good albeit expensive option. Happy modding.
