Clear Corner Lighting?

Hey,
I recently got the clear corners on my car and i took the amber bulbs out and left the clear oem bulbs in so it would match the parking light. Now, i live in Cali and i have heard/read about only the amber lighting as being legal in cali and i was wondering if i would get any hassle from cops with the clear bulbs instead of the amber ones. I know people are going to say that cops don't care and all that but i just want to know if a cop pulled me over could i get in trouble with the reg clear halogen bulb? i think that it was stated that the parking light had to be amber too and i didn't change that bulb so it should be okay right?

That's the law here in Texas as well.

Don't know how heavily that is enforced.

You culd just put the amber bulbs in and not worry about it.

if you get pulled over, say you didn't know, and go out and swap the amber bulbs in front of the cop.. i doubt they'd say anything after that

IIRC, the law says your "turn signals" have to be red or amber... im not sure if it says anything about your "sidemarker" having to be red or amber...

I believe in CA technically they need to be lit amber and they are supposed to reflect amber in the front and red in the rear from the side.
I use amber LED's in my clear corners so the when they are lit they look amber. I dont think the Poo Poo pay as much attention to them during the day at least I have never been harassed about them.
(now I will end up getting pulled over on the way home for them)

I believe that they are supposed to be amber, but I don't think that law enforcement are too picky about it. I doubt they would pull you over just for that. Even so, just keep the amber bulbs in the car in case you need them and you should be fine.

i know the law is amber, but what i am saying is that the parking light is supposed to be amber too and the oe for mine is the same reg clear halogen bulb as the clear corner bulb. So i guess my question would be is the clear halogen bulb, although its supposed to be white, be considered amber?

parking lights are supposed to be amber...as far as getting pulled over or not that all depends on the cop and how much he wants to pull you over. i know my buddies have been pulled over for clear corners and stupid stuff like that. me personally...i'd rather have my car legal where i have to do something wrong to get pulled over, nothing worse than driving home after a couple of drinks and getting pulled over for a light bulb then going to jail for a dui...just my opinion

So then it is legal then right? If the parking lamps are also supposed to be amber, and my G came with the clear halogen bulbs for the parking lights then that must mean that the same bulb will be legal for the clear corners right?

Clear sides....Amber bulbs!

No they will only be legal if you have amber bulbs in your clear sides. There's
a reason when you buy the clear sides that amber bulbs are included!
You might get away with having white bulbs in the clear sides but if you get
stopped chances are very good they'll write everything they consider illegal!

What parking light is clear? The clear light down the side of the light is what they call a city light (I have no idea why they call it that). The round one pointing forward is amber and is also the turn signal. The sides have to be amber in front and red in back and reflect amber and red to be legal.
That is what the law states.
Will you get pulled over for it?...........Who knows!
