JDM Foglight Replica kits? What happened>

I remember some group was beginning to make replica OEM JDM fog kits for the G35 coupe with and without HID's... what happened?

I tried searching by looking through thread and using the SEARCH above and couldnt find it. Please help!

damnit, I think it was due to price
I'd do $500 for a HID set but I think they wanted something higher

the OEM covers are $500 a set. How do you suppose the profit comes from charging $500 a HID set, if it costs at least $150 to make per set of replica covers, $100 for projectors $100 for bulbs and $150 for ballasts? Not to mention projectors are OEM, bulbs are philips and ballasts are Nissan OEM. (don't forget the brackets, fuses, relays and harness)

If you want to get it for cheap, you will get cheap parts and zero reliability and it will not come from my company.

yeah and parts coming from IvoryGT will basically be better than the OEM one..but most people, including myself just can't afford 1k+ for foglights lol

I don't suppose paying half price for the full price look and even better performance is too much to ask.

Ah, that price was with the actual HID kit? I thought it needed the bulb/ign/ballast combo. I was mistaken.

I still think it is a good idea. How many would you need for it to be worth while?
