Custom LED spoiler?
So I have a spoiler that I bought and it came with an extra LED bar and I figured I'd experiment with it but I have a few questions.
1. How much voltage to I need to power it with batteries so I can test it? I'm assuming 12v since thats what a car is but then again I'm not sure if you can blow up LED's by overpowering them.
2. I'm not sure if this is possible but is there any way to make them flash in a certain sequence with some parts I can buy at radioshack or something? Better still If i can make it not only flash, but do a knightrider type effect although I'm not sure if that requires it to be wired a certain way.

it should be ready for 12v. The reason i say should is that it should have been designed for a 12v system and have a current limiting resistor wired into the circuit.
Most standalone 3mm and 5mm led's will take about 3v or so. a 9v battery will fry a led w/o a resistor
