Never though choosing bulbs would be so hard!!! HELP

Before anyone reads, I have searched and not gotten the answer I needed.

Alright. So as many of you know, I got some modded headlights done up. I originally had stock headlights with 8000k HID's in headlights and foglights. Looked great, but caused so much glare. I hated it. Plus, I had no high beams and by the state of NJ to pass inspection, you need high beams. SO, I decided to take the plunge and get a pair of OEM 03/04 HID headlights. I had them shipped over to G35papa and he did them up for me. Painted flat/matte/stain black and cleared the turn signals. Looks AMAZING. SO happy with the results. But anyway, enough talk.. here is my perdicament.

I want to upgrade the HID (D2R) bulbs to a whiter/bluer bulb. So I decided to go with the Philips Ultinon 6000k. I know the 5000k offer more output, but I want a little more color and I don't think I will notice much difference anyway.

Now, my big problem is deciding on fogs. I LOVEEEEEEEEE the JDM deep yellow fogs right now, especially with the newly painted black headlights. So I picked up a pair of Luminics 2500k JDM yellow H4 bulbs. Looked amazing, but had problems with them smoking after they were on for more than 5+ minutes. Really strange, but I didn't want to risk melting anything. So those came out and then I went on the search for different yellow fog bulbs. I heard a lot of great reviews on the PIAA 2500k yellow bulbs, but they are quite pricey. Are there any other alternatives besides the PIAA's and Luminics. I want the deepest yellow I can get while not converting to HID.

ALSO, for the city lights and side markers... I can't decide if I want to go with orange LED's in the side markers, orange leds in the city lights, and get a dual fitment bulb and have the turn signals stay on orange (like the 05/06 sedans). So it would be all orange on the bottom of the headlight. OR I should keep the side markers white (how they are now) to match the HID headlights and get yellow city lights to match some yellow fog bulbs.

Yeah, I know confusing. That's pretty much how my mind is going right now. Any suggestions/opinions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance everyone!!! PICTURES WILL BE A BIG PLUS AND HELP ME GREATLY!

When you get new bulbs make sure they are the correct wattage for the car. If you go with a higher wattage bulb you risk frying your wiring. That is probably where you went wrong with the bulbs you chose.

change the city lights out for sure, they throw off the color of your other bulbs... you should get city lights in a deeper hue of whatever color your other lights are, to compliment them...
like yellow for the fogs or blue if you go HID

I've changed the city lights out many times. To hyper white and blue. All different types of LED's trying different things over the past year or so. I'll most likely go with yellow city lights to match the yellow fogs

I can't remember what the modelnumber was but PIAA does offer some leds city lights. I put them in yrs ago and can't remember what the model number was. Hope the city lights you're talking about are the little bulbs besides the headlamp.

Picked up a set of PIAA 2500k H4 bulbs. Look great. Little more white than I expected, but they are much better than the luminics I tried. Hope these last!

Now I am on the hunt for some low beam bulbs. Looking at the Philips Ultinon 6000k. I am looking for a bit more color so I am opting over the 5000k's. Anyone know where's a good place to get them?

Anyone have any good reviews on Mtec's 6000k's??? i've read the threads on here and people seem pretty happy with them. I think I may go for them since they are half the price of Philips and seem to provide good output and color
