So I have read the recall notice and am just curious......what do they mean as far as not meeting vertical gradiant requirements and whatnot? Could someone plz explain the problem blue collar terms for me? I have an 03 and had wanted to do a swap.....

 

From what i know, the light being projected is pointed too high which causes drivers coming towards you to be blinded by the light (word to bruce springsteen).

the recall is for 06 projectors only, 03-05 doesnt qualify, but basically the lights are not properly aimed so when you pass other cars its blinding them therefore unsafe....

 

Follow-up question:

From all the people selling 06 headlights, how do we know the legit ones from the recalled ones? Is there a way to find out?

None that I know of. I have a pair of recalled headlights on my '03 (had them about a year now). I aimed mine, and they work flawlessly. The light output is much better than the originals, and I am blinding no one.

i have a 03 also with 06 projecters and i like them so much i dont care if im blinding someone !! lol
