LED 'em up! 56k = PC hang
Tim, TTrank, changed out his turn signals to LEDs. I'm looking into doing this as well, but first need to buy some load resistors to prevent hyperblinking.

^^^ becareful with too much white turn signals coz cops will pull you over
I just used a regular bulb. I just want to take out the amber on the headlights

For the front signals, I purchased some chrome plated bulbs such as the following:

After I took apart my headlights, I replaced my amber turn signal lenses with a clear lens piece. The bulb underneath was a regular halogen and looked pale yellow when illuminated.
I wanted it to match my clear corners, but I didn't want my clear headlight turn signals to have the yellow bulb behind it... no point in removing the orange lens if it still looks orange underneath.
These chrome plated bulbs eliminate the "egg yolk" behind my clear turn signal but still illuminate a legal amber color.
I also purchased some chrome plated "194/168/158" bulbs for my clear corners to get rid of the "egg yolk" look of the amber bulb that comes with it.
I do not have any white LEDs on the exterior of my car except for my rear license plate and soon my reverse lights.
But, you are correct. In most states... if you have bright LEDs colored other than OEM color, you risk getting pulled over.
On Sylvania, it says the reverse light bulb is a "921" wedge bulb.
But, I've seen a "921" wedge bulb and it is approximately the same size as the "194/168/158" wedge bulbs.
But, I've taken the liberty of testing out a "194/168/158" bulb in the reverse lights and they function properly and fit snugly.
You may buy any of the following bulbs which are high power surface mount (SMT) LEDs.
Typical LEDs aren't very bright, have a light blue-ish hue to them, and have these small little refractive lenses on them. SMT LEDs are brighter and have a pure white color.
I personally ordered the ones in the 3rd link which are the 1.5W LEDs. They should come in tomorrow. I'll try and update ASAP.

Some earlier sedans have 7440 (single filament, i.e. signal only) bulbs and others have 7443 (dual filament, i.e. parking light & turn signal) bulbs.
Old 03-05 coupe headlights have 7443 bulbs. 06-07 coupe headlights have 7440 bulbs.
If you mean the light that comes on in the clear corners, that requires a 194/168/158 bulb.
If you mean the city lights near the fog/high beam lights, that requires the same 194/168/158 bulb.

i think it is called the city light, it has a yellow tinge to it right now. Its right underneath the headlight.
I want it to mach the headlight color as close as possible

what is the highest amount of watts can the corners, license plate, dome light, door light...etc take? is using 1.5W safe? i dont want to damage anything. i always thought it was 1 watt but i could be wrong
Those can be replaced easily with any "194/168/158" LED.
As far as I'm aware, LEDs draw much less power than regular incandescent or halogen bulbs. I don't think there's anything to worry about LEDs damaging any circuitry or fuses.
Any electrical gurus chime in and correct me if I'm wrong.

ok, so i installed my halos in my car. tried to do the clearance strips but when closing the light up i heard this loud pop and you guessed it, the light was snapped in two. thank goodness it was the first light. but blessings come in strange ways cause once i finished, i like the stock clearance light color since i decided not to change the bulbs in my turn signals. i change out the orange lenses in them but that was a tremendous PIA. (if you got the cheese, pay someone to do this for you) anyway i didnt take great pics but you can see what they look like:
