Is there a G35 Sedan Light Replacement Guide

On the fear of being reprimanded severely, "search is your friend", I'm going to ask if there is a g35 Sedan light replacement guide for the '05 sedans or same model years. Call me slow, call me simple because I haven't been able to follow much of what is said on the lighting forum, but I'd like to see a diagram of the headlight assembly, the name of each light/bulb, what the oem bulbs are, and what options there are for improving upon the oem lights/bulbs for brightness and functionality.

I'd like to see if someone can do the same for the interior lights on the '05 or same model year sedans. Is it safe to assume that bulbs and fitment on the sedans are the same as the coupes on interior lights, except for the backseat over-the-door lights?

I'm really looking for a beginners guide to changing out interior and exterior lights on the '05 sedan. I've read posts where choosing the wrong lights/bulbs can burn up wiring or cause problerms, and other posts where guys have had to order bulbs 3 or 4 times to get it right.

My hope is that others are having some of the same confusion that I am, and that we can turn this into a very basic thread on changing/improving lights/bulbs both inernally and externally on the '05 or same model year sedans.

And let me apologize in advance if this is all sitting on the forums somewhere, and thanks in advance for any help and assistance on this post. It's much appreciated!

You could also just read the FAQ in the sedan section... There is one there, I put it there myself. Sounds like you didn't look very hard.

Ok, I'll admit to missing the FAQ in the sedan section!

So, in the headlight assembly:

The top light is the High/low beam?
The bottom light is the fog/driving light?
The yellow light is the parking light?

Exclamation Both wrong

CORRECTION

At least on my 2005 g35 sedan

TOP LIGHT = Low Beam

Bottom Light = High beam or fog but not both at once

Inner Light (orange/amber) = driving (parking) light AND turn signal!

This amber light is illuminated Solid orange when driving but blinks EVEN BRIGHTER when turning or hazard lights are activated. (can be turned off entirely during the daytime but will still blink if you activate turn or hazard lights)

Side light (on bumper) = Park light only

The only thing that might be wrong is the vanity bulbs... they're the ones in the visor mirrors...

If i decide to get HID for my fog light, do i need to get a special bulb that can be used as high beam as well or how does it work?

To give you guys a less complicated answer about the H4 to HID without losing the high/low function, the answer is yes.

Xenon/HID bulbs do not ever offer high/low, they shoot light out and the reflector or shield (projector) help control the light pattern. But there are two ways to get a high low out of HIDs. The cheaper way is to add a halogen bulb to it for high beam, or the better, often more expensive way is to use a motorized, movable reflector or shield (like in most high/low projectors).
