If you even reasonably inclined mechanically, you should be able to diy. I replaced the lows in my early build sedan and it wasn't that hard. If you go to a shop, it shouldn't take more than a couple of hours so I wouldn't pay more than $130 or whatever their hourly rate is.

If the bulbs are properly shielded, you want have any additional glare issues. However, you might lose the ability to switch between fog and hi beams.

I think there is someone here who just replaced his fogs with 8000K hids. You might pm him with his impressions.

like i said in my post...i put a set of hella 8000k hids in my fogs and they look awsome but they arent the bi-xenon kit...i was too cheap to pay 1200 lol...its a very easy install...its all plug n play...i recomend that all g drivers get them.
