Those that have modified their headlight clearance strip

For Those of that have modified their headlight clearance strip what is the best LED strip to go with. I know that some have made their own LED board, but i dont want to mess with soldering. Im thinking about something along the lines of this flexible LED strip:

But im woried that it wont be bright enough.

What would be the brightest strip that people have used, and where did you purchase it from?

I was also wondering where you guys mounted the strip.

Thanks in advance

I tried these
http://www.oznium.com/led-flex-strips (were too thick)

and ended up using these
http://www.oznium.com/thin-led-strip

bright enough.

I purchased a slightly flexable circuit board and solder 16 1.8mm leds into it.

I did pair them in 4's and added a resistor so they would emit their light evenly, and also for safety.

As for the headlight, I opened it up, took the cover out Used a dremel to make the led fittings through the back. Clean install.

Ok I am either going to use these:

http://www.oznium.com/led-ribbon

or use my luxaura light guides i ordered and light them with a 168/192 socket forward facing LED cluster I got from VLEDs that would be plugged into the city light socket.

haven't decided yet, will get more time to work on the project this weekend and if i get far ill try to post pix next week.
