What do you recommen for headlight bulbs?

Turns out my headlights are not the stock bulbs. The actual headlights are the same color as the fogs (yellowish). Im looking to buy some new bulbs to give me the stock color or maybe even a little brighter but i dont want to get anywhere near a pruple color. I was thinking somewhere from 5-7k bulbs, but am not really sure.

Any pics would be great as well as a good place to buy from.

Also have a 04 sedan

I'm assuming you have the HID headlamps so you need a D2R bulb. The stock color temperature is around 4300K. The higher you go the more blue they become but you also lose output. I haven't used a higher temperature bulb but I have read on here that a lot of people like the Philips 5000K bulb. It is more white than the stock bulb and there isn't much loss in output from what I have read. If you have the halogen bulbs then you could try the Sylavnia Silverstars or PIAA bulbs but halogen bulbs will never truly look like HID's. I'm not an expert but hopefully that helps.

Yes i have the xexon (i think that how its spelled) Headlamps. So the size of the the bulb is D2R? And i was thinking of 5k's becuase i saw a thread of somone changing there bulbs to 5k from 6k and it looked very good.

Also anyone know how much a dealership would chanrge for the stock bulbs?

Yes it's a D2R bulb. Here is a good reference to see what bulbs go where on your car:

http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...lacementGuide/

The dealer retail price for one bulb is around $230, but I'm sure one of the sponsors on here sell them cheaper than that. As far as going from 5K to 6K, maybe someone that has them can chime in, I just use the stock bulbs on my car.

Stock dealer prices = NEVER CHEAP!!!!!!

That is why I just went for the 06 projectors at $500 that had bulbs with them (from Sewell Infiniti, site sponsor). I liked the 06's better anyway so it was kind of a no brainer for me to just go that route. If you aren't wanting to buy new lamps then I'm sure you can find other brands of D2R bulbs much cheaper somewhere on the internet.

take a look at MTEC's 6000K. They are bright, reliable, looks great, and about $130 for the pair.

trust me, they are not blue. They're more pure white. Stay away from the 8K and you will be fine. I dont have any headlight pics...if i remember, maybe i'll take a few tonight.

I have white LED's from V-LED's in my clear corners, if I get 5000k HID bulbs for my projectors will they match the whiteness? As it stands my stock projector bulbs are substantially more yellow than my side markers and it has been bothering me.

i have no idea if they will match. Trying to match bulb colors from brand to brand is one of the hardest things to do.
