I got an 05x and i replaced the halogen fog lights with an HID kit a couple of years back. Now the driver side fog light blew out and not sure if i could just buy new bulbs and replace them both. My local body shop said they can't just replace the bulbs because it's an HID kit bulb and they want me to get a whole new HID kit for the fog lights.

I replaced the fog lights with a 5k hid kit. I don't get why i couldn't just buy new bulbs and plug them in. Instead they want me to buy a whole new HID kit for the fogs. Is this true?

 

I think their trying to **** you.
Just buy another 5k bulb... and see what happens.
