Question about D2S bulbs, and LED Blinkers

I will be putting the 06 projector headlights in my 05 coupe this weekend. I have a set of D2R 6000K bulbs in my 05 headlights. I know that the projectors take a D2S bulb. but instead of me going out and buying another set of bulbs can i just use the D2R bulbs in the projectors? Is the only difference in these 2 bulbs that metal plate that is on the D2R's? If so, cant i just take it off?

Also i want to put some LED blinkers in the 06 lights, I dont want them to Hyper blink, is there a quick/easy fix for that?

Thanks in advance.

The easy fix is adding a load resistor. This resistor goes in parallel with the bulb.

Yes, you can add the load resistor anywhere you have access to the blinker wire and a ground.

you can just buy a set of 6000K D2R bulbs, and they will be white with a very slights hint of blue from far away. If you want blue, then go with 8000K bulbs, just know that your output will decrease if you go higher than 6000K. I went with HPautoworks.com. Their bulbs come with a 5 year warrenty, and great price, about 90.00. I have their 6000K bulbs, and they are pure white, with a very subtle hint of blue from a far. hope this helps

First, i wouldnt trust ebay for HID bulbs unless they came with a warrenty. second i would highly reccomend that you get a D2R bulb, since you have the 03-05 headlights.
the link you posted is a D2C bulb, and people say that they have alot of glare.

$54 is a great price, but think about it if they go out, or something happens to them than you are going to have to spend another $54 on a set. I would say that you are better off buying the bulbs from HPautoworks, and be worry free for the next 5 years. also if you tell them (i think his name is Andy) that you are from g35driver, he will do it for like 90-95 shipped.
