Hi all!!
I am looking for 06 headlamp but i will like to know if I bought them without bulbs and ballasts, will my 04 bulbs and ballasts will fit in it without any problem or I need the 06???

you need different bulbs definately d2s not d2r like the 04s as far as ballast I have no idea cause I have an 06 and I just replaced the bulbs

 

I swapped the headlamps on my 04 for the 06's and you can reuse the ballast but you need the D2S bulbs. I believe the ones from the sponsors on this site come with bulbs, mine did. Don't buy headlights off eBay, they are most likely recalled headlights that you will not be able to aim properly and will blind oncoming drivers.

Well i think you can find some little information about your headlamp in some site that like bulb industry or some like this LED Flashlight, or in ebay...

 

^^ How are any of those sites going to tell him anything about whether or not you can reuse ballasts when switching headlamps? Guess he could just duct tape a bunch of those flashlights to the front of the car................

 

all ballasts from 03-07 are interchangable...the only bulb that isnt interchangable is the fog lamp on the 06+...the 03-05 dont have the fog's

OT: My housemate recently bought a 07' G35x Sedan and he swapped out the stock to a Phillip 6k bulb. However, it seems his light output is much brighter than my 06' projector with Phillip 6k bulb?

Does 07' have higher wattage ballast or something? Or is it just me?
