TailLight Question. Before I f... something up.

I've searched the forum and cant find how to "turn off" the grid portion of our tail lights.

i hate the grid.

so. i opened up the trunk and removed the plastic around the latch an found this wire harness:



and labeled the wires like this:



Thought I'd ask if anyone knew which wire does what before I go ahead and find out the old fashioned way (i.e. pull a wire, see what happens, repeat)

I think it would be easier to just unplug the connector that goes to the "grid." I think it's the upper left one off the circuit board in this pic. You don't have to open up the taillights to do this.

have you figured out which cable it is?
or did you use the other method?

The grid and circle of LEDs share the same + wire for parking lights and same + wire for brake lights. So if you try and mess with the wires at the harness level, you're going to knock out the entire LED complex by cutting a single wire.
