My current Project - Paint/Install Headlights

So i started working on this today, and have done pretty much. I got done with the lights and go to pull the CCFL out the box and its broke in half! wtf?! Now i have to buy a new CCFL kit so i can install my angel eyes and continue the process when it comes.

Mods:
Paint headlights black
Install HID's in fogs
Install Black Turn signal lights
Dremmel out the amber corners and replace with clear
Install Blue angel eyes.

I have one light complete, and now im waiting on the other angel eye/halo/demon eye, whatever you wanna call it. Tomorrow I will install the one headlight and post pics, it started thunderstorming so i could not finish it today.

I think they look 10x better but...

****Does anyone know how to mount the halos into the headlight? I used epoxy heavy duty, but it says can only withstand temps of 225 degrees. With the heat of the lights and summer sun, will the glue melt off? Will the glue melt when i go to bake them to put them back together?

Well i finished these... and i must say, many many people stare me down while driving

I chose blue because I have my business logo stickered on my back window (also Blue) so it all ties it together as one. I also didnt realize these would be as bright as they are... which brings up my next question...

Is it illegal to have blue halos/lights?

Looks like I got the same set of cheap halos you did. Top one is same size and should be for a coupe not a sedan.

yea pretty much what i did was just cut tiny strips of clear plastic about 1/8" wide, and epoxy glued them onto both the light and the side of the headlight. it worked, but doesnt look too professional close up, but also kinda gives it a neat floating look, like a real halo. I had to fabricate something, and be very careful with install, but they are still holding up well to this day, and this post is a few months old.

Anyone else have the halos installed? PLease post a few pics if ya can.

Good to know, thanks.
I thought that there would be a little more flew to the shorter ones, but I was wrong. One of them snapped in my hands. I decided to just put the bottoms ones in. I think they look good wit just the big ring on the bottom.

I guess dats what I get for goin cheepo on these from ebay. Wonder if I will get any response from the seller.

ha exact same thing happened to me, i was pulling them out of the bubble wrap, and it was tapped all up like crazy, i pulled the wrap and snapped both halos in half and had to expedite ship some new ones, a one-day job turned into a 3 day job.

Distinctive, I literally just got the demon eye kit at my house today from Advanced Automotive Concepts. They gave me two epoxies to mix together to glue the ends of the rings with. I have a PDF tutorial on where to glue exactly if you still needed to know.

Also, do you have any pictures of how to actually take the headlight apart step by step? I've read another guy's instructions, but not sure what these tabs are, and I don't know which wires to cut and connect to my inverter box that came with the demon eye kit.

Thanks in advance.

I have been done with these halos, all i did to take them apart was bake them in the oven like tutorials say, to melt the rubberized glue around the housing to dismantle the light

The tabs i actually made from plexiglass to hold my halos in place, because they were the wrong fitment and i had the lights for a year before realizing it, so i had to "make" them work

The tabs I was referring to were the ones on the headlight itself. It says to gently pry the tabs up or something to remove the housing...something along those lines.

they are clear, and form a square shape around the edges of the plastic, and then there is harder black plastic square notches holding it all together... dont really know how to explain it without an image... but once you find them take a flathead screwdriver to it, or something similar
