positive/negative terminal city lights

hey guys...i'm an idiot. i was replacing the city lights with LEDs. the light socket doesn't show positive/negative terminals, so i went to try and figure it out with my meter. (you probably know where this is leading). i shorted the terminals together and blew a fuse. i'm heading to get one now. my question is this: does anyone know which terminal is positive and which is negative? there are red and black wires, but infiniti has made everything else on this car a pain to work on, so why not switch the standard wires too? any help would be appreciated. i'll check back when i return from the the parts store with my fuses. thanks in advance!

You don't have to measure it by a meter.

You can alway flip the LED when it does not lit.
