question, on a 04 sedan, the amber light only comes on when signal or hazard, but i want them to stay on like the coupes. so if i get a 7443 dual filament will it work like or do i have to wire it.

 

Has anyone ever tried to modify a 7440 (single filament) base to accept a dual filament 7443 bulb. I liked the yellow parking lights on the 03 headlights which we no longer have on 2006 and later headlights which now only have the signals.

What I am thinking about is modifying the signal light base on my 2006 headlights to accept a 7443 bulb which would also be connected to the parking lights.

 

as far as i know, you fill need to swap the entire 7443 socket not just the bulb...i believe redlude and ivorygt have both done this in the past

 

Yes, I found their thread, the socket is replaced and modified by removing a tab from it and a little rewiring.

 

I got a weird issue with my '06 headlights (I have an '03 car):

the left headlight, the turn signal will only come on with the headlights on.

Well...okay, after turning on the car, the turn signal will work w/o the headlights on, but after about 20 seconds, it will turn off and will only work with the headlight (projector) on. With the no lights (parking or headlight), the turn signal will not come on.

However, with the parking light on, the parking light (tiny LED 194 bulb) will flash. But as soon as I turn on the headlight, the regular turn signal will now come one.
