I got some of these in 5k white to go with the stock HID headlights.

I'll see if I can get a photo. They are white with pretty much no blue or yellow at all in them. They kind of match up with the headlights, but I think if I had 5k or 6k headlamps they'd match up better since the stock HID bulbs have a slight bit of yellowish in them.
I just wonder which type of LED works the best in the clearance strip, the type that I used with light coming froming all angles, or the type like this

where the light pretty much projects from the top only? I just feel like the ones I have don't light the strip up as much as it could.

Here's some pictures of the 5k LED SMT bulbs. You can kind of tell they match decently with the stock HID headlights, but not 100% perfect.

anyone use these in their clearance strip?

I have some LED's in my clearance strip at the top but I was hoping to get the whole tube illuminated...similar to dude with blueish/whitest LED's running down the clearance strip. Any ideas on how these work? Do they have to be wired in somewhere?

hi how did you get the entire strip to light up like that? Did you just use a led bulb? or a led strip?

I've researched this topic a ton, tried several, today I found these led bulbs at autozone and just put them in. wow, they are amazing. By far the best at lighting the clearance strip
Sylvania LEDriving

youtube video about the LEDriving bulb
here's some pics of them on my g35, can't wait to see how bright they are at night

They look good but what about a night shot? And are they still holing up? Have they faded in color?

I had one start blinking on and off and finally quit working, I replaced it and has been as solid as the other one. It's probably hit and miss with one working for a long time or not.

color still looks same to me, very bright and very white.

here's some pics, last two with headlights on.
