Question $50 D2S vs. Phillips $200 + ???

Guys,

Need some advise. I could purchase $50 D2S bulbs or Phillips Ultinon for $200 or so....Which is going to last and not go out on me in 6+ months.

Ok, so I'm sure the Phillips bulbs *should* last years (hopefully), but will the $50 bulbs that are being sold in the Marketplace here last as long and be as good of quality? Maybe a STUPID question, but maybe not....has anyone here had any luck with the cheaper bulbs??

Just throw me out some .02's....

Thanks Guys!

What vendor is selling them? What make are the bulbs?

If you're paying top dollar for Phillips bulbs, you're going to get top quality bulbs.

I've been running the Philips Ultinon 6000k for about 3 years with no problems whatsoever so I would definitely recommend them. 30k+ miles

I have some cheap HIDS that I replaced my OEM Philips with, and they last and have no issues. They came packaged in separate hard plastic tubes, and look nice, but I have no idea on the quality but my light output is clean and bright. I paid $80 CAD for my set, and there were also cheaper, and then more expensive ones from the same vendor.

These are some bulbs listed in the Marketplace that I'm talking about. Just worried they'll go out on me in 6 months - but I guess you get what you pay for if that turns out to be the case. It sounds like several of you have had good luck with generic bulbs - so I guess I'll try them out and see how it goes. Thanks Guys! -WoW

I bought my Ultinons used from a dude that had them for a few months. I think they'll last a while. Read up on McCulloch bulbs, theyre a bit more than the off brand bulbs, but much better quality.
