Does anyone have experience with the Umnitza V2 angel LEDs?

Hi guys, been lurking on this forum for 9 months and learned a lot from everyone. This is a great forum!

I have done the Pop charger & tube intake, exhaust, spacer, rear sway and UpRev mods so far and the G35 gets better after each one. Love the car and might even do a supercharger next year. Also since my car is black, I blacked out the grill, tinted tail lights and tinted the glass to 20%. Car is understated and looks great. Not bad for a $18K low option car I got used last spring. Oh, one last mod I just did over the holidays - a double din GPS radio receiver with rear camera, bluetooth and 7" display. Very nice. Really made the car into a modern vehicle! I have the mod fever I think. Thanks to all the posts, I learned a lot and had fun doing it.

I am now focusing on the lighting scheme and would love some input. I want to add the angel eyes mainly for safety as DRLs on the black G35 and I think it would look good with them. Just an opinon and I know some say not to do it. Since I have had a BMW540 and three Audis (A5, A6, A4), I have the right to think and not care if passer-bys think it makes the G35 a ricer. I just want it modern and safer to see....my humble opinion.

Does anyone have experience with the Umnitza V2 angel LEDs? FISHRFun indicated he had reliability with his CCFLs and wonder if these would do better since theses are LEDs & version 2 ?? What brand had the issues?

I am thinking of taking apart my 06's headlight units (oven baking) to paint the background black, change out the amber for clear lens and do the angel eyes all at once. Anyone have a source for the clear lens? Any thoughts on reliability as I do not want to have to go through what FISHRFun did and remove them in a year. Getting the Umnitzas from Lightwurkz and he indicates he will warranty them.

Thanks in advance for any thoughtful inputs. I will of course post any pics or results in a few weeks.

pretty sure everyone here gets their clear lens from home depot or a similar store. it's used for like fluorescent light covers and you just cut to size and glue. you have to cut out the amber lens

EDIT: just saw you have 06 headlights are you a coupe? if so, the lens should already be clear, just replace the blinker with an LED bulb and it should blink amber and look clear when it's off.. you will need to wire resistors on there to make it not "hyperblink" tho

I have the Sedan with AWD.

Might just buy the clear lenses from 4DGS to replace the ambers.....

Here are the LEDs from ebay:

I will be installing these LEDs as DRLs in a few weeks.

Here is the link to the generic installation directions, fyi:

http://www.shiftice.com/angel_eyes.html

I tested the LED angels and they are very bright and all four rings look good. They are fully encased in clear plexi-glass or something so they look to be very rugged. I think this will work well. Lightwurks also sent me 5 photos with directions where to cut the G35 bezel and how to fit them for best results.

Things are a bit hectic now so I will get to installing these in late January. I plan to paint the background a satin black and making the amber blinkers clear.
This will be a tripple play! Angel DRLs, black background and all clear lenses. Can not wait.
